Moon Viewing Chakai 2024

On September 21, 2024 the Urasenke Tankokai San Diego Association enjoyed Otsukimi (Moon Viewing celebration). It is an autumn festival in Japan celebrating the Harvest Moon. The venue was at the Pioneer Ocean View United Church of Christ in San Diego. Our Urasenke members, family and guests gathered to enjoy a light dinner and tea under the almost full moon. The moon made a very late appearance, but its orange glow was enjoyed by those who were able to stay to see it rise. It was a very memorable celebration and we look forward to it again next year.
