WHERE ARE TEA DEMONSTRATIONS HELD?
ARE THERE ANY SPECIAL EVENTS ORGANIZED BY URASENKE SAN DIEGO?
IS IT POSSIBLE TO ARRANGE A PRIVATE TEA CLASS OR DEMONSTARTION FOR A SPECIAL EVENT (Company, wedding, etc)?
Certainly, Several of the teachers are willing to support these kinds of special requests. Please use the Demonstrations Contact Form to provide some details of your event so we can help you coordinate.
I HEAR THE TERMS “CHADO” and “CHANOYU” AND WONDER HOW THESE ARE RLEATED TO THE JAPANESE TEA DEMONSTRATION?
“Chado” (“the way of tea”) and “Chanoyu” (“the water of tea”) are both Japanese terms to refer to what we often refer to as “The Japanese Way of Tea” in English.
WHERE CAN I LEARN “CHADO” (THE JAPANESE WAY OF TEA)?
There are several opportunities to become involved. If you would like to participate as guest at a tea demonstration, consider registering and attending one of the public demonstrations held in the Japanese Friendship Garden of Balboa Park.
There are also some annual, larger events that you may want to register for and join as guest.
If you would like to become a student of the Japanese Way of Tea, consider contacting one of the local teachers and arranging a trial session.

CAN CHILDREN ATTEND A TEA DEMONSTRATION?
Children are welcome to attend our tea demonstrations.
